Beaufort Intelligence

Privacy & cookies

Last updated 1 June 2026

This is the privacy notice for Beaufort Intelligence, a web, software and data consultancy based in Cumbria. It explains what I do with your information when you use this website or get in touch. I keep it short and plain on purpose.

Who I am

Beaufort Intelligence (sole trader), Cumbria, United Kingdom. You can reach me at jack@beaufort-intelligence.com. I am the data controller for the information described here.

What I collect, and why

When you fill in the enquiry form, I collect the details you give me: your name, email, an optional phone number, what you are looking for, your website address if you have one, and your preferred way and time to meet. I use this only to respond to your enquiry and arrange a conversation. The lawful basis is your consent in sending the form, and my legitimate interest in replying to you.

I do not use your details for marketing, I do not sell or share them, and I do not add you to any list.

Where it goes

Form submissions are delivered to me by email using Amazon Web Services (SES), and the website is hosted on AWS. These providers process the data on my behalf as part of running the site. The data stays within the service of replying to you.

How long I keep it

If we end up working together, I keep your details for as long as I provide your service plus a reasonable period for records. If we do not, I delete your enquiry within 12 months. You can ask me to delete it sooner at any time.

Cookies

This site does not set tracking or advertising cookies and does not run third-party analytics. The page loads a couple of animation libraries from a content-delivery network to make it work; these do not track you.

Your rights

You can ask to see the information I hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted. Just email jack@beaufort-intelligence.com. If you are unhappy with how I have handled your data, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
